Rule #1: Just about anything goes in this RPG, aka: sex, violence, language, etc. HOWEVER, if the material is above the quality of PG, there must be a note in the title of the thread. For example: “Hanging out in the room **NOT PG**” This is so, simply, people have the freedom to write what they want to write, but those who would not “appreciate” such material cannot claim that they have not had fair warning.
Rule #2: Each player is allowed to have a total of seven (7) characters. Dragons and their riders DO NOT count as two characters. Exceptions can be made at the GMs’ discretion, based on the player’s reliability, writing ability, consistency, etc.
Rule #3: Please try to make each post one paragraph long. The GMs understand that every now and then, short/pathetic posts will be made. Just don’t make a habit of it. On the same note, please do not make posts exceptionally long. Please keep post lengths within reason.
Rule #4: Conflict equals plot. It is going to happen. Fights are going to break out. Words and mudslinging will be thrown. Character will just no like each other. But, please, do not take it personally. This is a game after all. Any conflicts between players are to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. DO NOT settle said arguments on the boards, but in private. If needed, the GMs are available for mediation.
Rule #5: Please notify the GMs if you are going away on vacation, or are otherwise not going to be able to come to a computer for a long period of time (i.e. a week or more.) This is for the sake of the GMs, who made need to rewrite a plot that once involved your character, and for the sake of players who may be playing with you IC. Also, we do tend to worry about people. Believe it or not, we care about our players.
Rule #6: There will be no God-moding. Period. (Unaware of what God-moding is? PM one of the GMs, and they would be more than happy to give a description.)
Rule #7: Players cannot create their own NPCs (Non Player Characters) in this game. Characters and character interaction in this setting is far to important for there to be unnecessary secondary characters. Creation of such characters is to be left up to the GMs and the GMs alone.
Rule #8: INACTIVITY RULE: After being inactive for approximately three weeks, without proper notice to the GMs, players will be emailed and given a warning. If the players are still inactive after another week following the email, their characters will be put up for adoption. If players wish to come back after this time, they must talk to the GMs. These cases will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and DO NOT necessarily entail the player regains full access and privileges.
Rule #9: If your threads are meant to be for everyone to join in, put ((Open!)) or some variation on that for the Title. If it's meant for a specific someone or someones, put their names (like Title-((I'slen and Tujal)) or Title-((HG))). Don't get angry if you forget and someone that you didn't want to join in, joins in.
Rule #10: All signatures should contain your characters in the following format:
~ Rank, Name, Dragon's color (if applicable), Dragon's Name ~
Images in signatures are allowed, however they should not be larger than 260 x 660 pixels. Signatures should still contain your characters regardless of an image or not.
Rule #11: Please, for the love of the Above, have fun! This is a game, and should be treated as such.
