After getting checked out by the healer, the two paused and looked over the weyrlings quietly as they too got checked out and finished eating. Niddalath stood proudly watching his siblings, while Nanyaa admired their colors, thinking about how to actually speak with their riders other then just avoiding them completely as she'd done most of her life.
You focus to much on what could happen, just worry about the now and now I am tired, let us go. Yes, of course I need to get to the days lessons. Just remember to speak out loud. Now you speak as my brother. I speak the truth and it would seem so does he. Hush
The Brown and the girl make their way back to the barracks in a thoughtful silence. When they arrive Niddalath flops down onto his bed and curls up. What not even a good night kiss? The dragon snorts in reply closing his eyes. With a soft laugh the girl turns her shirt right side out and re buttons it correctly. Maybe tomorrow I will actually get dressed properly the first time. Wake up earlier and you can. I will just use you as my wake up. Another snort and a full head shake as he covers his head with his wing dismissing her.
Smiling Nanyaa laces her boots finally letting Niddalath drift off to sleep. She give the dragon one more pet and look over before she heads back out to meet with the weyrling master and find out what's next. On her way out of the barracks she pulls her mousy brown hair back into a tighter tail. I should just cut all this off, probably be easier. With a smirk and a shrug she walks back to the communal area.

Iaslia was not about to show any sort of crack in front of the other candidates. That was not what being a leader was about, was it? She nodded, doing her best to remain impassive, but her grip on Nisurath's ridge tightened. He was worried about the gold, but then, it seemed everyone was. They all treated the little Queen like she was made of glass. "Yes'sir."
As one the pair turned to walk back to the Weyrling Barracks. Nisurath's head swung low as she yawned and Iaslia watched the gold with worried green eyes. You would tell me if anything is wrong, right? I am a Queen. I am fine. Her grip never moved on Nisurath's ridge until they made it back into the barracks proper. As Nisurath settled down in her couch at the end of the row, she turned blue whirling eyes on her rider. Do not worry. We are together, that is all that matters.
Nodding, Iaslia could feel her heart rise up in her throat. Nisurath was right, no matter what happened, they had each other. Everything else in the world paled in comparison to when she looked at the young dragon. "You're right." Of course I am. After Nisurath fell asleep, Iaslia turned with a sigh to report back to the Weyrling Master for the rest of the day's assignments.

This must be what babies are like. Eatin' and sleepin.'
A rebuke was thrown over from the brown who was finally finishing his meal. I am a dragon. Hirith said plainly enough to his rider - the simple fact seeming to be the only thing needed to settle the matter. T'van grinned. Sometimes, he still forgot about their instantaneous connection. Not to say he forgot about Hirith...there was always a presence in the back of his mind that hadn't been there before. It wasn't strange, just oddly comforting.
He just wasn't used to his thoughts being another's. He'd have to work on that during training.
T'van fidgeted from one foot to another as Hirith meticulously cleaned his muzzle. The young man wanted to get whatever Master Phaedon was doing over with...the dragon didn't see the need to hurry. When the healer was finally done overseeing the group in front of them, the brown indicated he was ready to go. "Honestly..." You would think he was a green the way he'd preened over his claws and muzzle.
"Master?" They'd come up from behind Master Phaedon. "Is it our turn?"

With the go ahead from Master Phaedon Kess returned to the Weyrling Barracks with Claralth in tow. Clar was sleepy and it would be good to get him settled before returning to Master N'sian for the days instructions. Clar slouched onto his couch and huffed. "I know, you're sleepy, that was a long time to be out." Yes, it was..[/color] He trailed off mid thought. Kess couldn't help but laugh at him a little.
She gave him a quick scratch behind the eye ridges then proceeded out into the Weyrling Common Area to meet with the Weyrling Master. She had no idea what to exspect for the day. What kind of lessons would they have? She straightened her tunic and wiggled her toes in her boots. She listened as the others settled their dragons and sheepishly smiled to herself. How alien it all felt to her. She was a creature of habit, and all this change so quickly. It had taken her aback. With little time to take in the rapid adjustments, Kess now found herself a little behind. In her mind she processed all that was happening.

The dragon healer only heard the sound of the young man's voice as he continued to write in his journal. Then realizing he had been spoken to he looked up from the book. "Just a moment." He finished writing about the last dragon who had left and then looked at the pair again.
Alright, ready." Phaedon grinned at rider and dragon. "Hirith had a sleepy start this morning hmm?" He was not placing a judgement on the brown only remarking that the pair was a little more behind than the others. He looked the brown over with same thorough exam as the others. "He's in good condition."
Then he took out his stick to measure the dragonet with. "Aliath did very well. He is a good sized brown as well." He was talking more to himself than to T'van. He rubbed his neck a moment and wrote the measurement in his journal. "Keep a close eye on him for a few days if anything seems the least bit unusual, don't hesitate to find me." He had said something similair to everyone.
"He's a little over seven meters in length." Phaedon looked at the dragon a moment more and then said, "Your good to go."
