As usual Nanyaa is forcefully woken up by Niddalath's hard head shoving her from her bunk. Picking herself up the girl lets out a loud snort, "I am up! Why not one morning just one? Horrid creature you." It is time to awaken and I am hungry rider, let us go. Yes yes off to the feeding with you... As the two adventure out she can see the sun has just started to break on the horrizion.
You do this on purpose, you get some sort of sick pleasure out of it do you not? I am hungry and you should have settled in earlier Nanyaa. Rolling her eyes she runs her fingers through her chin length uneven mess of hair with one hand still rubbing an eye with her other. Not even going to change out of your clothes from the last night? What's the point they will just get worse at the grounds, I shall change when finished... and when more awake. You look terrible rider. Thank you I am here to please.
Clearing her throat loudly and shoving Niddalath's head to the side she leads the way out of the barracks into the main common. The brown in tow, shoving his head hard into her back causing the tan skinned girl to let out a loud yelp. Laughing loudly Nanyaa whips around pointing an accusing finger at her dragon, "Beast! See what I deal with... and you wonder why I call you such!"

Having already been up in the predawn hour off by himself reading, Navace reluctantly brought himself back to the barracks he called home. Although the two of them had been drifting apart for some time his sister being picked by that dragon had further widened the gap in almost every way possible.
'How many days had it been?'
He gave up trying to do the mental math and just sighed in frustration. Things were supposed to be getting better, they were supposed to be riders together and right now it just felt like he was somehow more alone than he had ever been before.
He just stood in place watching the others move about busy with their morning routines. It was all dull repetition at this point, his mind was rarely engaged in his studies because it was mostly material he had already read or heard a half dozen times before.
'I wonder if she has even missed me...I'm sure her dragon has been keeping her busy but still...'
A rare glimmer of hope radiated in his mind. Why not just run off and try to see her real quick? Just seeing how she was might cheer him up some and with the happy thought he took off at a brisk pace.
** ** ** ** **
Practically running to the commons he almost tripped over himself trying to stop as he entered the big room. Seeing several small groups of people as well as assorted dragons with their riders nearby he looked about and his face dropped with disappointment.
'Where could she be?'
He turned around to leave and a particular brown dragon caught his eye but who he assumed was the rider couldn't be his sister because the look was all wrong. He walked up from behind the rider and tentatively asked "Nanyaa?" and his face was full of shock when his sister turned around and looked at him questioningly.

Nanyaa's grin fades slightly when she hears her name from behind her, it sounds like her brother, but why would he be here? She turns around with eye brow raised, "Navace? Navace! Brother!" With an uncharacteristic warm grin she wraps her arms around her brother's shoulders and hugs him tightly. "It has been to long! You have not even seen Niddalath since his hatching."
See it is good I got you up this early. Hush and acknowledge him. The brown lets out a low rumble and bows his head for a moment to his rider's twin. I had forgotten how much you two really do look alike, however his hair and clothes are actually kept. Nanyaa pushes her dragons head off to the side once more, "Niddalath approves of your dress and hair much more then mine brother..."

Still in shock from her changed appearance, the warm hug and the strong bond she seemed to already hold with her dragon Navace stared for a few seconds before catching himself. Giving a weak smile he said "Thank you...to uh, both of you. It's good to see you sister...
"It's been...so long."

"It has... to long... What is wrong Brother... are you ill? Is something bothering you? Is that why you came to see me?" She puts a hand on his forehead checking to see if he was warm and looks him over. He could just be surprised at how you look. Enough about my dress! I mean your hair girl. Oh... that is possible...

His face flushed from the care she began to exhibit over him, he pulled back from her arms putting a couple of feet of distance between them. "I, I just came to see you...to just see you. It had been...just..."
He trailed off and looked awkwardly at her for a second before glancing at the dragon behind her before saying "I'm sorry to bother you, I was just..." He turned around and started to try and walk off.

"Navace! Wait!" Hurt she calls after him grabbing at his arm, frustration and confusion fill her face, "Can I not be happy to see my own brother, what is wrong with you? You have ignored me for weeks now then you come out of the blue just to walk off? Are you going to be just as shallow as so many others here because of Niddalath?" Her face scowls in it normal brooding manor as she steps back from him.
Why is everyone so opposed to you and I? Calm yourself, let him speak. My own brother is going to act like this? You have not tried to see him either rider. With a heavy heart Nanyaa looks to the ground and awaits her brother's reply, scared he too will act either indifferent or passively to her. S'hon had said she would be noticed now because of Niddalath, she never had thought she would have to fear loosing her brother's attention with it.

He had stopped to look at her when she called his name. He looked up from the ground at her face, just as hurt and confused as he thought his must look. "I...wanted to see you. I have missed you and just...I thought you would be too busy with...him...to be able to see me. I didn't want to be a bother...I just...have missed you."
He sighed and looked down at the ground trying hard to hold back the tears that were threatening to rain from his eyes. He bit down on his tongue and mentally cursed himself for feeling so weak, confused and just so stupid.
"I have missed you...and I'm proud you made it..." He said in a very shy voice that betrayed all of his loneliness and fear.

"I have missed you too Navace, and I am busy, but that does not mean I have no time. I sleep so little these days, I was used to listening to you read. Even with Niddalath I still can not even attempt to deal... well ...with anyone. I have been trying... to, well be different... not so angry... I was just worried..."
Looking down as well she just stands there biting her lips unsure of how to react or what to do. Niddalath lets out a loud snort and shoves Nanyaa at her brother, The brown started to get annoyed at both of them being more concerned of the other being upset and not just happy to see each other. Also he was very hungry and wanted this needless babbling to end. The girl lets out another yelp as she looses her balance and falls at Navace.

He catches her and hugs her too him for a minute before helping her to stand back up. Their faces inches apart he braved a small smile. "I guess this means your brown scaled friend likes me?"
Before she could respond he ran his hand over her cheek affectionately. "Your hair is different...it just needs a little evening out...think maybe we could do that and catch up, sometime soon?"

She wrinkles her nose looking up at him, "Is it really that bad? I just could not stand it any longer in my face, I... never learned how to braid my hair... so with out you... I um... well ... it meet it's end by a dagger." She smirks. "And yes Niddalath is fine with you... but he is also very hungry, have time to head down to the feeding grounds with us? Other wise Niddalath just in on one of us."
The Brown give a loud snort in agreement and starts to march through the common again towards the stairs leading down to the grounds. Mind your wings. Hurry up to mind them with me. Coming, ya weyrbrat. Niddalath lets out a loud rumble still moving forward. Nanyaa wraps her arm in her twin's and leads him toward the stairs to the grounds following behind her dragon.
