Beauty may be only skin deep but that is all one needs to survive. The dark skinned young woman has about as much of a curve to her as an arrow. She’s athletically lean though some may say she is too thin its mostly genetic. Her family seems to have a fast metabolism. Genithea stands at about 5’11” and weighs about 155lbs.
Her hair is black and straight falling to about her mid back. Its coarse and thin though it was very thick when she was a little girl. Thea has no blemishes on her face because she has great skin. Having a dark complexion keeps her from worrying about sunburns and it takes her a long time to get really hot although the cold bothers her a great deal.
She has thin but defined eyebrows and will often quirk her left one when curious or amused and every so often when angry. Her round eyes are dark brown, almost black in appearance. The angrier she becomes the darker they appear to people. Medium thick black eyelashes frame the dark eyes without overpowering them. Thea’s nose is wider than people who are pale skinned though it’s not too large for her small face. She does feel that it takes up quite enough room to overcome any of her more admirable features. On either side of her head she has small comely ears.
Smiling reveals a set of well formed small white teeth. Her lips are thick but not overly so and well shaped for her face. When she smiles they seem to thin out. Her chin is small and does not jut out but does come almost to a point, part of being from a thin framed family as are the high cheekbones.
Genithea wears men's clothing while working. It is easier to move around in. With a pair of black leather pants she wears her knee high boots and a black short sleeved body tight shirt. This is topped off with a black leather jacket. Her hair is pulled back in a single braid while working. When not on the job she wears the best fabrics that she can attain in any color. Her dresses might even be as well made as some of the minor holders. As long as she is shown favor by the Lord Holder she can have what she likes.

Personality:
One could say Genithea has two sides to her. When she has a task before her, she is serious and determined. She will give anything, even her life to see it is done. A promise given by her will never be broken as long as she lives to defend it. Her emotions are not really a part of her life as her passion is in serving her Lord Holder and protecting his family. She would gladly die to preserve them.
Thea's loyalty has never been questioned and she has likely done things to prove herself to the men that no one has done before, including setting the stage for a dangerous game. One involving the dragonriders of Pern. Thea is not a gambler especially as she can see a bluff before anyone says anything. She is very good at reading people's body language. Unnecessary risks are never taken as she has children to care for.
Her face is often as set in stone as any Guard. She can not be bribed nor swayed from her position. The most enchanting and charming person could try to coax information out of her and she could stay silent. If tortured she could also keep her mouth closed. In her mind duty and loyalty to the Lord Holder is above all else in the world. This is followed only by duty and loyalty to her family. She would kill her own sister before she killed the Lord Holder.
Her other side, the side few get to know, is a vivacious and smiling woman. While she will never be the lovey dovey type she does care for her children (although they are not legitimate) and finds them the best homes that she can. Being a single mother she also provides for their living, except for Dax who lives with his father. She is a responsible person and does not believe in frittering away her marks on stupid things. Not when she can manipulate men to give her what she wants anyway.
The feelings she has about dragonriders are fairly up in the air. She believes they are evil because Lord Alaxis believes they are and he can not be wrong in her eyes. Some might mistake this devotion for love but Genithea learned long ago that men use and take , they do not love in return. Why love someone who has no love for you? It is questionable whether she has ever truly loved anything more than honor and duty.
Hobbies/Skills: She is skilled in the use of weaponry, poisons and riding runners. She can read and write and has a knack for telling if someone is lying or not. (you don't want to lie to her, its bad news)
