Sunning is the most wonderful thing to do after a nice bath and oiling. [/b] At her riders simple head shake she replied again in her low loving tone, You should try it sometime. It would do wonders for your complexion. So pale... [/b] J'mie tried hard to keep from laughing. If this was what a nagging weyrmate was like he did not envy other men the women they lived with. Lately though Xyrath had many little comments that were mostly unimportant. Maybe she thought he was unhappy. Of course she would not be entirely wrong.
As much as he hated to admit it, the greenrider was at a loss for a true companion other than Xyrath and the green sensed his longing when she was away from him. Of this he had little doubt. If only Threadfall was keeping him busy then he would not have time to concern himself with his life. Still it was hard to find a good friend who wasn't trying to get something from him or trying to get a win from a flight with Xyrath. Somehow most of them managed to blame their dragon's need to feel undefeated. It mattered little really. He needed to befriend some women more like than men. Men were very good at looking out for only themselves and what they wanted. Women seemed more able to feel compassion for others and help them with their problems as well as dealing with their own.
It was in this state of mind that J'mie left his green sunning on the side of the lake and began jogging. The slim rider was not all that fond of running but he also knew it was a dragonrider's job to stay in shape not just eat healthy but working out as well. Now was as good a time as any. The evening air was just beginning to grow cooler though a thickness hung in the air as if someone was breathing hot and moist into his face. His shirt clung to his mid section from sweat and moisture. He hated this weather. Xyrath did not much care for the rain during rainy season but J'mie found it preferable to the stickiness of when it was not raining.
