Nothing brings him more happiness and joy then to see a genuine smile upon anyone and everyone's face. Each day he wakes up determined to have someone tear from laughter, even if at his own expense. After all if you can laugh at yourself who can you laugh at?
While Zace does his best to bring light to everyone, children and the youngsters are his favorite crowd. They have yet to grow so serious that it take little effort to bring them joy. A roomful of children laughing will warm anyone's heart. He realizes that there are many serious and pressing matters and in many ways the weyr could be in a lot of trouble, but with out hope they most defiantly will be. When needed Zace can focus his attention and be as stern as any other, it will usually startle most for this side he rarely shows.

Story telling and doing his best to memorizes everyone's name in the weyr are among his talents Zace is best known for his singing talents and playing the lyra. He uses the small string instrument mostly for accompaniment to his singing, but will just play it for background music. He dabbles in the harp but is much better teaching others how to play it then playing it himself.
Pets: A rock he painted.
History:
As a weyr brat Zace spent most of his time either learning from his father or conjuring up some scheme that usually got himself and the other children he convinced to help him into no end of trouble. Exploring where they should not be anywhere near, even one day escaping long enough to almost get trampled by a couple of greens for he had run through the barracks. The only time they could get him to sit still was when his father would spin a wondrous tale or sang for them. It was clear from very early on there was only one real calling for Zace, for there was truly no other job in all the weyr where he could truly be himself.
As an adolescent he calmed down enough to no longer run loose under foot but still was barely tamed. He spent much time studying with his father and the other harpers, but every waking moment he had was spent keeping up other candidate with a far out tale or humors antic dote. In classes he would often be disciplined or scolded for practical jokes or speaking out of turn. Though for all his joking and comical remarks rarely would anyone other then himself be the butt of the jokes. Most revolved around how short and pudgy he was, children could be cruel but Zace's good spirits could not be crushed by a mere fat joke.
After he had grown to old to impress, and he never really had any desire to in the first place, he completely devoted all of his time to the trade of Harper. Three days after Zace turned 26 his father passed away, leaving a very large hole in his heart. No one could ever be the Harper his father was, but he would surely do his best to fill the void. While his death hit Zace fairly hard, he still fought to find joy even through such sadness. He spent the next few years secluding himself in his studies of history and keeping most of his music to practice.
Once he finally came to terms with himself and his father's death, Zace, now a man of over 30 turns, decided it was time to really start connecting with the people of the weyr. This ended up for some time being more of using his musical talents to lure a few women to bed him. Not a man of amazing beauty or grace he needed such help. About this time is when he also began to indulge in as much wine as anyone would allow him to get his hands on. He was no glorious catch, but with enough wine and such a wondrous voice, anything can happen.
As he got older Zace stopped perusing the ladies for the most part, though does anyone truly stop? Instead he turned his focus on the weyr children, after all someone must entertain and keep up with the weyr's history after his turns are up. He would entertain at gatherings and just on a whim in the hall. He would go into the caverns and play and sing for the children when ever he could. He also started to teach candidates and journeymen that seemed to have any talent he could encourage. So few seemed interested in what he did it was disheartening. But instead of giving up he just kept working with the children. Art, music and history should be just as important as anything, at least in his eyes.
The last season has only brought further hardship on the weyr, and leaving Zace that much more determined to lift everyone's spirits. However a nasty virus actually caused the Harper to be bed ridden and loose his voice for almost the entire dry season. Thankfully he's finally feeling up to his duties again, he was driving himself up a wall doing little other then read and play his lyra. With so much distress and sadness he can only hope and try to at least lift spirits and help bring hope back to Ponaa.
