She keeps her hair plaited and pinned up when she cooks, and it is only in her personal room that she lets her hair loose. She keeps some bangs, but long enough so that she can sweep them from her eyes.
She dresses modestly, only bringing out her fine gown for hatching feasts. She wears close fitting clothes, which are beeches and a tight tunic belted on her waist with elbow-length sleeves- all to give her better ease in the kitchen.

Personality: Depends, if you are a dragonman, she is especially kind and sweet. She could flirt all day, and acts as though their needs are her chief concern. She doesn't want to sleep with them, but she does treat them with a sweet hospitality. She plays shy or modest with them, when she is anything but. Kerja is very bold and confident.
For most other people, she can be irritable, and she doesn't put up with any crap in "her" kitchen. She has a quick tongue and a sharp wit, and doesn't take well to lollygagging. She is very career orientated, and her main passion is cooking. If you aren't there to help, then by Faranth, get out of her way! She is a hardass in the kitchen, and when you work for her, you work hard. It's not often she trains a new cook, however, because her patience (or lack thereof) and drive to do her own thing only allow her to take on the brightest apprentices. Kerja is a very instinctual woman, and it serves her well in the kitchen. The young woman is very stubborn and likes things to be her way. She takes quite a bit of pride in her work, and hopes to one day become the "official" Head Cook.
Hobbies/Skills: Kerja can't sing well, nor is she that good at dancing, but she is talented in something far more superior (in her mind) and useful. She has found her true skill- cooking! She has a keen instinct, and a great interest in experimental cooking. Many people would stand in line to try out some of her new concoctions. Some have called her a prodigy of the bubbly pie, for it is by far her best recipe, and she usually wins any desert competition with it.

History: Kerja was a "surprize," but a happy one, to a long weyrmated pair. Her mother had struggled to conceive all her life, and when Kerja came along, it was a happy time. She had two older sisters and an elder brother who was over 10 turns older than her. She was too young to remember when her brother Impressed to Blue Canth, but she remembered vaguely when he lost the dragon not two turns later in a training accident. She had heard that there were always casualties in weyrlinghood, but she also had heard that to be dragonless was the worst thing in the world.
Growing up she became entranced with dragons, though while she was the proper age, she never Impressed. And while she was in love with dragons, her sisters were in love with dragonmen. Both her sisters were pregnant at young ages, 18 and 16, though she avoided all of that until she was 19, when she met a greenrider named D'bren. He was tall, thin, charming, had great hair, and the most interesting clothes. He was a playboy, and she fell hard for him. Like her sisters before her, once she was infatuated, she gave herself quickly, and being naive in this area, she was pregnant before she knew it. Since she was getting too old to stand, she took a post in the kitchens where she discovered her talent quickly, and the approving eye of the old Head Cook.
She was pregnant with her son when she found her bisexual lover in the arms of another man. The romance was over, and she threw herself into her work, which proved the best thing for her. She fostered her son to her sister, who had a daughter not two sevendays before her, and continued cooking under the tutladge of the Head Cook. Now, at one time, she had aspired to be the Headwoman, but when she died unexpectantly, and Rekka was chosen, she knew she rather just cook anyway.
Now as the Head Cook is becoming more forgetful and tired, Kerja takes more control of the kitchens, forcing her right as a favored cook.
