No, no... move the couch over to the other wall. The green practically rolled her eyes. "Why don't you do it then?" The blonde woman replied irritably. In the sparsely decorated room, Havalie had moved most the furniture more than once already. She was aware that she was getting very irritable and that she was sweating profusely. Her arms were crossed as she looked around the room again.
"We need a bedspread that suits us. Maybe mother can quilt something for us. I was thinking we could use a little plant life here and there too..." The dragon agreed with that. Green was the best color if one were to ask her. At least they agreed on that. She shifted her gaze to the wall the very old couch was on. It was going to be thrown away and since she had little in the way of marks at the moment, she decided that it was better to recycle than have nothing.
"It will come together eventually..." Yes. First we need marks then we can have nicer things. They were going to start making more marks now that they were full riders. maybe if we move... "No way! I'm not moving one more thing around just to put it back where it started. Fine fine. I blame you if my friends think the wall looks a bit bare on that side. "I'll plaster you there if you think it will help." Havalie muttered low enough that no one could hear her in the hallway. The door was open because it aired the place out some and it was rather stuffy from inoccupancy.
Stretching her arms out she decided she was done with decorating. "I need a nap." You need a bath, smelly. "I'd love to throw this pillow at you but that would require me to get up again, retrieve it and put it back on the bed. I already said I would not move anymore furniture. Pillows are furniture. Do not even think you are going to catch me that way." Dragons were incorrigible, especially hers. With that Havalie turned around and plopped face down on her bed, legs hanging off the edge. It was not a position she thought anyone would ever see her in and so she remained there taking deep breaths.

A'rik had meant to check in with each of his former students. With the Weyrlings back, and all the commotion with the clutching his progress had been slow at best. He had gotten to several of the members but Havalie had been near to last on his list. Not because he didn't want to see her, in fact she held a sort of soft spot in his heart. It was for that reason that he kept putting off seeing her. Being in separate wings made things easy.
Making his way down the hall of the Beta Wing Weyrs he was distracted by Pantoth going on about bathing and sunning. You bathed this morning how could you possibly need another bath this quickly? Are you denying me a scrubbing? Negligence!!![/color] A'rik could only shake his head and chuckle at his mates near sarcasm. He approached what he had thought was a vacant weyr, when he heard the sounds of moving furniture.
The scene he peaked into entertained him. The girl was obviously deep in conversation with her partner. The green seemed content. He pressed a finger to his lips, hoping that the green wouldn't give him away as he leaned against the door opening. It wasn't until the girl had flopped onto the bed that he made his presence known.
"Well isn't that a spectacular view to give all who pass your door." He grinned viewing the awkward position she had put herself in.

Whether Sarenth chose to let him approach without informing her rider was out of irritation for Havalie's refusal to do as she wished, or simply because she found it amusing was anyone's guess. The dragon listened, intent on the conversation that would follow. This was going to be good.
"Well isn't that a spectacular view to give all who pass your door."
Havalie turned over quickly and sat up on the edge of her bed, cheeks flaming. She had not expected to see anyone, least of all him. Could he be more handsome? She didn't think so. If she had any composure now it was gone. He had found her in a most akward position, she was sweaty, she was tired. Havalie could not imagine what a mess she must look like.
"H..h..hello, A'rik. I, uh, was not expecting anyone to, uhm, come by here." She stammered her way through the first two sentances, still feeling the heat from her cheeks. The next time she opened her mouth was better, "What brings you down to Beta?" Good conversation starter she thought.
Your worse than I am before a mating flight. I can at least talk to the males. You are being the opposite of help right now, you know that? Havalie should have taken her eyes off of him when she was talking, it would have helped. How could she when she had not seen him in about two turns? He was as she remembered him. I thought I was over this whole crush thing Apparently not.

A'rik remained leaning against the doorway to her weyr. He chuckled to himself as she flipped around on her bed, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. She was gorgeous, more so then her remembered her. Then again she had aged 2 turns which had only been a few months for him. She beyond most of her teenage awkwardness that had plagued her when she was a candidate. Now she was a full grown dragonrider. Sarenth was in good color. He glanced to the little green.
"What brings you down to Beta?" His green eyes watched her as she stammered over words, only adding to her attractiveness. "I had been meaning to pay you a visit, well to pay beta a visit." His smile remained on his face as he took a step closer into the weyr.
"Thank you Sarenth for no giving me away, that was well worth it." He gave the green a slight bow in acknowledgment of their successful prank. Pantoth rumbled a mental greeting to the green from his comfortable lounging position on his couch back in A'rik's own weyr.

How could he seem so, relaxed. It wasn't fair! Leaning against her doorway like that she should really ask him to go and come back when she was more prepared for visitors. Right? She watched him come closer and realized he had spent a good amount of time looking at her as he stood there. Oh she must be a complete and utter mess!
He had come to Beta to see her? She completely disregarded the second part. Why would he come to see her? Maybe he was checking in on everyone? That was much more likely. Finding that she actually had feet, she stood up, placing one hand on her bed post.
Dragons! Shaking her head she turned to look at Sarenth. She'd get her back later. The green lowered her head slightly to say she understood and walked out of the weyr to her ledge. It was sunny outside. Sarenth returned Pantoth's greeting warmly. Time for a nap.
"Can I get you some klah? Water? The chairs at the table were just stained so its best not to sit on them. " Havalie decided to let go of the fact that he had conspired against her with the help of her dragon. The blonde took two mugs out of a cabinet and set them on the counter top. Then turned around, facing him again.
"Before you arrived, we were reorganizing the room. Once I've made some marks though, it won't look so bare." She added, trying to act normal. Oh yes, boring and normal. Maybe then he would stop looking around like he forgot what he came here for. Maybe he had? The thought was slightly amusing but unlikely.

A'rik remembered moving into his own first wery. Pantoth hadn't been much of a help, picky as he is about his bedding and such. He chuckled "Yes well every first weyr is pretty bare." He tried not to laugh at his own uninentional rhyme. It wasn't like him to trip over words.
He leaned against the wall farther into the room. She had offered him some klah or water which he politely declined. He wasn't much for klah anyways. "I don't want to keep you from what you were doing, though if you needed any assisstance." He joking flexed his arms. "I might know some strong manly men who could help you." He winked and grinned.
He had liked her even when she was in candidate classes, though his own personal code of ethics had prevented him from getting to know her more. Not to mention her addition of Sarenth. The weyrlings time jump had solved a problem for him in a way. The little green was no longer a dragonet and now a full grown female. She'd probubly already had a flight or two judging by her color and such. He mentally scratched his head. Woman made him nervouse, female dragons made Pantoth as close to nervous as he could get as well.

Hmmm, she supposed that was true but that did not make her any happier about how it looked presently. Having turneddown both drinks, Havalie was really unsure of what to do next. Under normal circumstances with people she knew she cold talk forever, however this was a completely different situation. Nodding, the blonde moved to put the one mug away then proceeded to fill it with water from the pitcher next to where she had placed the mug.
That she had been about to take a nap, she was certain he did not know. Havalie was tempted to say she needed help with that but was much too shy to ever say so aloud. Giggling she commented, "Oh yes, I could have used strong, manly men like you about a candlemark ago when I was moving furniture all around. What timing you men have..."
A part of her was nervous and wanted him to leave so that she could get herself together. Most of her however was trying to think of a way to make him stay a while. It could not hurt to know him better. Unless she went and screwed things up, like she tended to do. "I was thinking of going for a swim at the Lake. You are welcome to join me, if you are free?"
Asking him to go with her might be a bit forward for her normally. This was her chance though, to get him to like her. She was going to try to show him that she was not a shy little teenager any more. She was a woman and very much in control of her own destiny. She sipped some water and then set the glass back down. Her gaze moving to his face. Those green eyes were enough to make anyone melt, if one asked her.

A'rik contemplated the thought. A swim would be pleasent, since he did have a little time to kill. Pantoth had been pestering him for a bath which could easily be remedied if he were down at the lake. He glanced at the girl. "I supose a swim would be refreshing. Pantoth's been on and on about a bath."
He picked up on her nervousness which didn't help him at all. Not a nervous man by nature, the one thing that got him was woman. He wasn't good with them, least not outside of the classroom or drills.
