1. Weyrlings receive new rank cords
2. Lessons on basic dragon care, the bond between rider and dragon, first aid, hygiene and feeding.
Weeks 5-8:
1. Lessons on Weyr/Pernese History and Ponaa History.
2. Lessons on dragon care, nutrition, growth rates.
3. Basic drills start, on ground practice of formations.
Weeks 9-12
1. Lessons on thread, threadfall and firestone
2. Assigned chores begin
3. drills and group work increase in difficulty
Weeks 13-16[/u]
1. Lessons on the creation of flight gear, straps and leathers begins.
2. Drills on teamwork and familiarization with Weyrleaders and Wingleaders begin. Drill lessons will be taught by Weyrleader and Wingleaders.
3. Goldriders begin training under the Weyrwoman concerning Weyr economics.
Weeks 17-20
1. Lessons on advanced dragon care, muscle development and wing structure.
2. Toning and exercise for flight begins.
3. Lessons on air currents, weather and predicting threadfall
4. Flight Training begins as Weyrling Master decides. Short, severely limited flights only.
Weeks 21-24
1. Flight Training, longer slights and exercises to build muscle and stamina.
2. Goldriders receive lessons with Weyrwoman on organization of the Weyr.
Weeks 25-28
1. Flight Training continues, basic formation along with increased flight distances.
2. Lessons on thread and firestone
3. Introduction to dragon breeding and the use of Weyr facilities.
4. Weyrlings with special aptitude receive leadership and responsibility lessons from Weyrleader.
Weeks 29-32

1. Actual chewing and flame production, practice with firestone.
2. Advanced lessons on threadfall and combative tactics.
3. Flight training with longer flights and lessons in terrain.
Weeks 33-36
1. Flaming practiced in small groups aloft, first drills with falling rope.
2. Lessons on Between, first solo jumps taken.
(heaviest losses occur during these weeks)
Weeks 37-40
1. Between jumps in formation start, continuing formation drills.
2. Rope Drills increase in difficulty. Adaptation to shifts in threadfall.
Weeks 41-44
1. Introduction to armed combat
2. Rope drills increase in difficulty, adaptation to injures and losses of wingmates.
Weeks 45-48
1. Combat training increases, the use of blunted weapons and at the end of these weeks a small tournament is held.
2. Lessons on mating, specific lessons for greenriders on flights and the signs of their dragon in heat.
3. Rope drills intensify, work with whole weyrling wing
Weeks 49-52
1. Thread, action in threadfall, sweap duty.
2. Lessons on scoring, first aid and assistance aloft. Viewing while the Weyrhealer works with injured dragons.
Weeks 53- 60[/u]
1. Thread, Weyrling wings fly replenishment duty to front lines and sweep for thread after.
2. Continuing rope drills.
3. Goldriders removed to practice with Queen's wing.
Weeks 60-70
1. Flying the trailing edge of thread, replenishing firestone for main wings. Flying auxiliary to Queens wing, injuries are common.
2. Rope Drills continue
Weeks 70+
1. Rope drills continue till graduation.
2. All weyrlings are tested prior to graduation. Those that don't pass are held back until the next class graduates.
3. Wingleaders tap weyrlings for their wings at graduation ceremony.
